Rules Browser shows the Immigration Rules as they stood at any commencement date from 2022-02-17 onwards. Every paragraph links to the gov.uk archive at that date, where the authoritative version lives. We do not claim to be the authoritative source — gov.uk's archive is. We're a navigation, indexing, and provenance layer on top of it.

Each paragraph carries one of three reliability states. Verified — the engine version agrees with the archive at this date. Archive defect — the engine version is reconciled but the archive PDF has an extraction defect (typo, truncation, or similar) at this paragraph; we show the engine version and a small footnote. Engine suspect — the engine may be wrong, the archive may be right, or both are uncertain; we show both side-by-side with word-level diff highlighting so you can verify before citing.
